There are many ways that hypnosis can be used as a therapeutic tool, and the wide variety of training schools reflects these viewpoints.

Ethically, we are committed to the client’s right to self-determination and strive to ensure their conscious involvement at all stages of therapy, in stark contrast to the "power" hypnosis of most stage shows.

Hypnotherapy allows access to our subconscious inner resources, the place where healing and latent power are encountered and utilised to allow new learning. This is effective for a wide range of habits and conditions that have often proved difficult for traditional medical treatments.

We train the practitioner to guide the clients on a journey of discovery, helping them to balance their lives with the use of self-hypnosis and often enabling new levels of confidence to spill over from the initial area of treatment to many other levels.

Training

The large number of training courses that come with a bewildering variety of impressively titled "umbrella" organisations may well be confusing to the potential student.

There is likely to be legislation over the next few years that will mean that training standards will become mandatory.

Most reputable training schools are anticipating these moves and are affiliating to the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations, (UKCHO). The BEST organisation is linked through the British Institute of Hypnotherapy (BIH), which is an independent accrediting organisation that our members can join on completion of training, with its own newsletter and schedule of advanced workshops.

Our 3 training modules, each carrying a diploma, are designed to exceed the anticipated training standards, both in face to face tuition time and content.

Note that distance learning correspondence courses are likely to be inadmissible to any licensing body.
